PUBLIC RECORDS · PLAIN LANGUAGE
A domain’s email setup.
Check the public records.
For people intentionally inspecting a domain’s public email setup, such as a business owner comparing your-restaurant.com with provider instructions. Public inspection does not require domain ownership. For account or missing-message help, choose the mailbox option below.
Want to see how it works?
These are DNS observations, not a deliverability or safety verdict. No mail is sent, no mail server is contacted, and no account is inspected.
What this check can’t tell you
Mailbox existence, SMTP availability, spam placement, reputation, DNS propagation everywhere, message authentication or whether a provider setup is correct. SPF dependencies are not followed; DMARC organizational-domain inheritance is not discovered; DKIM keys and signatures are not validated. CNAME targets may appear in the resolver answer but this tool issues no additional target queries.
FOUR PIECES OF THE PUZZLE
Read the records.
Know what to ask next.
- MXWhere incoming mail is routed. A lower preference number goes first.
- SPFWhich servers may use the domain as an envelope sender.
- DMARCHow receivers should treat messages that fail aligned authentication.
- DKIMA public key for a specific signing selector. The provider tells you the selector.
